Nutool Therapy

Among all the regimental therapies recommended by Unani scholars, Nutool is a very novel method. In Nutool therapy, water, oil or medicated decoction is dropped from a height over specific sites of body in certain diseases.

In this procedure the affected or diseased part of the body is washed by a stream of water or medicated decoction from a recommended height. Nutool therapy is done to accelerate the process of removing cancerous and harmful materials from the body and bringing the affected organ's temperature to normal and by improving the Défense mechanism of body. We are aware that there are couple of medicines which are just taken to help in absorption of certain key minerals such as iron, calcium. Nutool therapy works in similar way. It improves the local absorption of medicines which helps in getting the desired result from the required medicine.

Classification of Nutool (Irrigation/ Pouring of medicated water) Depending upon the nature of medicated water used for desired results, Nutool has been broadly divided into two types

• Nutool-e- Haar
• Nutool-e- Baarid
