What is chronic wound???
When a wound does not show any signs of recovery, after four to eight weeks, then it should be considered as a chronic wound. They are as follows
- Foot abscess due to diabetes
- Abscess related to veins
- Wounds due to surgery that are not healing
- Thrust abscess
- Bruise due to metabolic sickness

If you are detected with diabetes, you need to consult a doctor, even the bruise is a smaller one. When the recovery is slow, it may also mean an alarming signal, so never neglect.
Why should we bother when a wound is not recovering?
The chances of getting the infection are more, as the time of recovery increases. Every day we get exposed to different kinds of bacteria like Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas. Our body, our surroundings all contain such kinds of bacteria. The problem starts when they come in to contact with the wound, as it can cause a major infection which may lead to the removal of the part and sometimes it may become fatal too.
